Rose Garden, Raleigh, NC

I decided to take the girls out the Rose Garden for a few photos. We took family photos out there in May and it was absolutely beautiful. It was very quiet this time around and that made for a nice time shooting. Although a lot of the flowers were not as full bloom at the first time, I think we scored a few good shots. Engagement Session 7.21.12

Hello everyone! Seems like I have been busy the last couple of days. I had the pleasure of working with a beautiful couple this past Saturday. They are the sweetest couple and I am thankful that Angela introduced us. I believe we had a very successful engagement session. Here is one of my favorites from the session. Portrait Session - 7.14.12

Hello everyone. Just wanted to share some photos from a shoot I did this past weekend. I had the pleasure of working with the beautiful Angela. We met in Durham at a lovely location on Saturday. It was a joy working with her and I hope that you all enjoy the photos.

Fun in the shade..

Today I decided to take the kids out to Pullen Park in Raleigh, NC. We had been in the house the majority of the week and I felt the need for new photos and my daughter wanted to have some fun. It turned out to be a nice, cool day compared to the 100 degree temperatures we have been having.  My daughter had a blast playing and I met some really nice folks while out there. It's always great when you meet friendly people. I will post some photos from today a little later.

Weekend Photo Shoots

Print labs...which one??

I am currently working on finding a good print lab for our portraits. I think that it will be more beneficial to my clients if I use a professional print lab vs printing in house. Atleast at this point. I have searched high and low for the best and believe that I may have found it. I plan to submit my test prints in the next day or so. I am so excited. I tried a lab that I normally use for person projects and it just didn't measure up for professional usage. So we shall see how this one comes out! Here is to praying for the best. Imperfections

Sometimes the biggest the imperfections make perfections. On our last family shoot, I took this photo and fell in love the moment I seen it on the back of my camera. I thought it was a beautiful moment when my fiance reached for the flower. I guess because photos are just moments in time and we have to find a way to capture those moments. Downtown Photo Shoot - Raleigh

I'm so excited that we had a successful shoot yesterday. My other half actually wanted to take some photos, so we ventured downtown Raleigh. I remembered this bridge that we have rode past several times and thought it would be a good spot. So glad we chose it. Lots of friendly people and a great scene for some photos. We even found what looked like a run down building for a few shots. Just wanted to share these with you. Precious..

Hello everyone! Last month I decided we would do a family photo shoot. The weather was beautiful and so we set out to find a great location. We rode around looking for the perfect place to shoot and found it at the Raleigh Rose Garden. It was extremely beautiful, quiet and full of flowers. This is a shot that I took of my daughters. I thought it was adorable how they seemed to be having a conversation about something. For the other photographers, it was shot with a canon 70-200mm f/4 lens and 600d camera. Macro-ology...

Ok, so that is not really a word, but I really want to dabble in macro photography. I currently have a 50mm 1.8, but really debating trading it for a 50mm 2.5. I took this photo by turning my lens around backwards. Not the best, but I guess it could work, but I really need to look into the real thing. Anyone that has experience with a macro lens, what do you think?

Hello everyone. There is just something pretty flowers in the summertime. I have found a new love for landscape photography and it is still "blooming!" The girls and I went out to Duke Gardens in Durham, NC last week and I was absolutely amazed at how beautiful it was. I have heard of several couples having their wedding there and now I understand why. Stunning landscape! Here are a couple of shots that we snapped while we were there. We will definitely have to venture back out that way soon for more photos!
